Meghan Markle’s alleged scheme to distance Prince Harry from the Royal Family has been branded “disgusting” on TalkTV.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Host Mark Dolan was joined by royal and entertainment journalist Sarah-Louise Robertson, as the duo weighed in on the Sussexes’<\/a> visit to Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n During the discussion, Mark referenced author Tom Bower’s claim in his book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, that Meghan, 44, “leveraged the idea of victimhood” to persuade Harry, 41, to step away from the Royal Family.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n He suggested that Meghan convinced her husband he was being mistreated and cast himself as a victim. “He fell for it hook, line and sinker,” Mark declared.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Sarah responded, “Of course he did. He was looking for an excuse and Meghan was that excuse. She helped perpetuate this myth – and it is a myth – of victimhood that Harry was already starting to establish in his own mind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “She helped it because it helped her, and so she used it, she weaponized it, and we are where we are now.” Mark then raged, “She turned him against his family, against his own brother no less! He’s only got one sibling. She turned him against his father, against the people of this country, against his majesty’s press and I think we have the best newspapers in the world!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Sarah alleged that Meghan had also driven a wedge between Harry and his cherished grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Mark went on, “The Queen became the enemy. That’s how toxic things have become.” An outraged Sarah exclaimed: “Disgusting! Disgusting! Absolutely disgusting!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Redirecting the conversation to the couple’s recent trip to Australia, Sarah asserted the visit was purely intended to elevate Meghan’s brand and public profile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She referenced the Sussexes’ earlier visit to Australia in 2018, during which Meghan reportedly questioned why she wasn’t receiving payment for appearances and complained about being unable to retain clothing and gifts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “She’s the Duchess of Grift,” Sarah proclaimed, before noting that Meghan has since abandoned that title altogether. “She says, ‘Just call me Meghan’, like she’s Madonna or Cher. She just wants to be known as the single moniker, whereby she thinks she’s really arrived,” the TV star added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
