Gemma Collins has claimed she had to “protect” co-star Adam Thomas from their I’m A Celebrity<\/a> campmate David Haye while filming for the ITV<\/a> show. The 45-year-old spoke on I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked and said: “I’m not afraid to step up.”<\/p>\n“I think David Haye might have seen a weakness in Adam<\/a>. There was times where I had to protect Adam in there. If I was going full GC mode on David Haye, and a lot of them, then it would\u2019ve been a disaster in there but I had to remain calm and composed<\/a> and just remember that I\u2019m not here to be performative. I am here as me.”<\/p>\nGemma continued: “And I think the fact that I stretched my arms out, I\u2019m sort of saying to ’em all, without biting their heads off: ‘Enough’.”<\/p>\n

You know, bring on the next heavyweight champion fighting the world because if I feel that something\u2019s too much, I\u2019m not afraid to step up.”<\/p>\n
The clip was shared to the show’s official Instagram page and fans flocked to praise Gemma for standing up for the Emmerdale<\/a> actor. The feud began after Adam confessed he felt ill and would rather not take part in a challenge. David began to slam Adam from across the campsite, saying that he was acting “useless” and that he isn’t a fan of men who behave that way.<\/p>\n
