Hollywood is shaken after the sudden death of Days of Our Lives<\/em> and Melrose Place<\/em> star Patrick Muldoon<\/strong> at age 57.<\/p>\n

Muldoon\u2019s manager confirmed to Variety<\/em> that the actor died on Sunday, April 19. According to TMZ, Muldoon suffered a heart attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Muldoon\u2019s sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa<\/strong>, told the outlet that Muldoon went to take a shower Sunday morning after drinking coffee with his girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart<\/strong>, in their Beverly Hills home.<\/p>\n

Rothbart reportedly checked on Muldoon after some time and found him unconscious on the bathroom floor. Paramedics were called to revive Muldoon, but it was too late.<\/p>\n

At the end of the month, comedy acting icon Catherine O\u2019Hara died at age 71. In February, Designing Women\u2019s Camilla Carr died at age 83, Dawson\u2019s Creek [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a statement to Deadline, Muldoon was described as \u201cendlessly generous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith his poetry, his humor, and his unmistakable presence. [Patrick] loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cStylish, charismatic, and full of life, he embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock \u2019n\u2019 roll spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Muldoon got his start on the sitcoms Who\u2019s the Boss?<\/em> and Saved by the Bell<\/em> before joining Days of Our Lives<\/em> as Austin in the 1990s. He left the show in 1995 but returned briefly in 2011. Muldoon also had a recurring role as villain Richard Hart on Melrose Place<\/em> from 1995 to 1996.<\/p>\n

Muldoon previously starred alongside ex-girlfriend Denise Richards<\/strong> and Casper Van Dien<\/strong> in Starship Troopers<\/em>. He reunited with Richards<\/a>, 55, on a 2025 episode of Bravo\u2019s Denise Richards & Her Wild Things<\/em>. Muldoon\u2019s latest film, Dirty Hands<\/em>, is set to be released later this year.<\/p>\n

Days before his death, Muldoon teased his involvement in a future project titled Kockroach, writing via Instagram, \u201cSo excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH directed by Matt Ross starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Zazzie Beetz And Alec Baldwin. Filming now in Australia \ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddfa.\u201d<\/p>\n

After news broke about Muldoon\u2019s deat<\/a>h, several fellow actors paid tribute on social media, including child star Jake Getman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cRIP Patrick Muldoon. \ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f,\u201d Getman wrote. \u201cWorked with him when I was 8 on Little Dead Rotting Hood \u2014 a great guy and always kept the energy light.\u201d He added hashtags \u201crip\u201d and \u201c#gonetoosoon.\u201d<\/p>\n
