Mother\u2019s Day Brunch at Flour Power Cooking Studios<\/strong><\/p>\n At this event, children and family members can join to learn culinary skills and create a Mother\u2019s Day brunch featuring mini vanilla scones, mini quiches, decorated mini cupcakes and sparkling lemonade.<\/p>\n 2. Allen Community Band May Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n The Allen Community Band will perform its May Concert at the Lowery Freshman Center. The family-friendly performance will celebrate mothers as well as veterans. The event will feature music selections from \u201cPhantom of the Opera\u201d and Karl King\u2019s \u201cThe Soaring Eagle March\u201d as well as a performance of John Phillip Sousa\u2019s \u201cStars and Stripes Forever.” Doors open at 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n 3. Unbroken Circle<\/strong><\/p>\n County trio Unbroken Circle will perform both songs and stories at this event at the Allen Public Library Civic Auditorium.<\/p>\n 4. Cottage Farmers Market<\/strong> <\/p>\n Shop handmade and curated items from artisans and vendors at the open-air market in Allen Heritage Village.<\/p>\n 5. Stretch and Restore<\/strong><\/p>\n Engage in mindful movement and calming breathwork in this program presented by Radha Krishna Temple, Allen at the Allen Public Library. Modifications to the program will be available for all mobility needs. Registration is required, and attendees are advised to bring a yoga mat and dress comfortably.<\/p>\n 6. Street Art in the Park<\/strong><\/p>\n Try out spray paint art in this event for ages 6 and older. Attendees will learn tips from an instructor and contribute spray paint art to a collective canvas. Supplies will be provided.<\/p>\n 7. Allen ISD graduation<\/strong><\/p>\n Allen ISD\u2019s Class of 2026 will graduate in a ceremony at Eagle Stadium. Student graduates will each receive 10 tickets, the district\u2019s website states.<\/p>\n 8. Stifel Stars on Ice<\/strong> <\/p>\n Celebrate the accomplishments of the 2026 Winter Olympics American team at these figure skating performances. The shows will include individual and ensemble performances by gold medalists Alysa Liu, Ilia Malinin, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Amber Glenn and more, a news release states. A limited number of premium-level suites and club seats are available.<\/p>\n 9. The Biggest Dill: Pickleball Tournament<\/strong><\/p>\n Participate in a pickleball tournament at Stephen Terrell Recreation Center. The event will include various divisions as well as men\u2019s, women\u2019s and mixed brackets. Each team is guaranteed to play three games, and registration is required.<\/p>\n 10. Skate Dallas<\/strong><\/p>\n The annual, multiday figure skating competition will feature performances from athletes across the region, including individual performances, showcase programs, and test-qualifying opportunities for skaters.<\/p>\n 11. Texas Music Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n The two-day music festival is returning to downtown McKinney and will feature live music from chart-topping and emerging artists in the Texas country and Americana genres. Artists slated for this year\u2019s event include Ray Wylie Hubbard, William Beckmann, Wade Bowen, Shane Smith and the Saints, and more.<\/p>\n
