Sullivan’s Crossing<\/a>\u00a0focuses on a lot of drama and romantic<\/a> foibles, and the show’s titular character, Dr. Maggie Sullivan (When Hope Calls<\/a> star Morgan Kohan<\/a><\/strong>), is at the center of it all.<\/p>\n Maggie is a neurosurgeon who moves to her cozy, quiet (and fictional!) hometown of Timberlake, in Nova Scotia, Canada, to be with her father Harry “Sully” Sullivan (Gilmore Girls<\/a> alum Scott Patterson<\/a><\/strong>) after legal and personal issues make her leave her hectic life and career in Boston.<\/p>\n When she gets to Timberlake, Maggie means California “Cal” Jones (One Tree Hill<\/a> heartthrob Chad Michael Murray<\/a><\/strong>), and sparks fly\u2014but her ex Andrew Eric Mathews (Allan Hawco<\/a><\/strong>) comes back into the picture, too. She\u2019s trying to figure out who she is, that version of herself. She is in kind of a dark corner,” Kohan told the Penticton Herald<\/a> in 2023. \u201cI\u2019m obviously not a brain surgeon and I\u2019m not estranged from my father by any means, but you have to find different versions of yourself that you can connect to. Like if I was to leave acting all of a sudden, how that would affect me, just try and bring everything back to me.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that visiting home over Christmas somewhat paralleled Maggie’s return to her own hometown.<\/p>\n “Coming back reminds you of whatever you were going through during that time\u2014you get these little flashback of moments in your life, even if it\u2019s the smell of something, or if a certain song comes on the radio and puts you right back into that space,” Kohan said. “It\u2019s just a flood of emotions and memories and that version of yourself back in the city crumbles just a little bit.”<\/p>\n Sullivan’s Crossing\u00a0Season 4 will premiere on April 20, 2026 on The CW.
