\n\tShaboozey has announced<\/a> his new concept album, \u201cThe Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales,\u201d releasing on July 31 via his imprint American Dogwood in partnership with Empire.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe country singer\u2019s fourth album is described as a \u201ccinematic outlaw revenge story with a tragic love at its center,\u201d according to a release. Shaboozey<\/a> explains that the album has gone through \u201cmany iterations\u201d and that he \u201cpushed [his] songwriting and storytelling to new heights.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want to show the world who I am as an artist and storyteller,\u201d said Shaboozey in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s a western about revenge told continuously through every song, centered on the character Cherie Lee. It explores so many themes, as many timeless westerns have: revenge, redemption, and romance, through the eyes of a protagonist looking to challenge everything she once thought true about her world. I poured all of myself into this and I hope people become as immersed in the world and the journey as I have. This album was a promise to myself and something, no matter what, I had to keep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the release, the record tells the tale of Cherie Lee, who witnesses the murder of her sheriff father by the Bootcut Boys. Lee then goes on a revenge quest but falls for one of the outlaws, leading to a final act where she chooses blood over love.<\/p>\n

\n\tShaboozey will release the first track from the album, \u201cBorn to Die,\u201d on Friday. He will also bring the world of Cherie Lee to Stagecoach this weekend with an immersive pop-up saloon experience.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer had his commercial breakthrough in 2024 with his third album \u201cWhere I\u2019ve Been, Isn\u2019t Where I\u2019m Going,\u201d which spawned the massive hit \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy).\u201d That tune tied Lil Nas X\u2019s \u201cOld Town Road\u201d as the longest-running number one song of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 with 19 non-consecutive weeks at the top spot.<\/p>\n
