CLEARWATER, FL \u2014 A major new entertainment destination is planned for downtown Clearwater, where EVO Entertainment is preparing to develop its flagship family entertainment center at the entrance to the Cleveland Street corridor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The 83,000-square-foot project planned at Cleveland Street and Myrtle Avenue represents an approximately $50 million private investment. It includes the largest cinema screen in the world, according to a news release from the Cleveland Street Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n The project is \u201cdesigned to create sustained, high-volume activity across the district\u201d and to add a new focal point to the area, the news release said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The development comes at a time of revitalization in downtown Clearwater through historic restoration and redevelopment projects along Cleveland Street, the alliance said.<\/p>\n At the center of the project is a seven-screen multiplex anchored by the largest cinema screen in the world, spanning more than 130 feet wide, the release said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The multiplex will also be the first in the world to feature both Dolby Vision projection and Dolby Atmos sound in every auditorium.<\/p>\n In addition to the cinema, the site will also include bowling, arcade gaming, laser tag, dining and interactive attractions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to bring EVO Entertainment to Clearwater and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime transformation taking shape in downtown Clearwater,\u201d Mitch Roberts, founder and CEO of Elevate Entertainment Group, said. \u201cFrom a cinema worthy of the global stage to a world-class family entertainment center, EVO Entertainment Clearwater will set a new standard for out-of-home entertainment \u2014 serving as a social destination for millions of guests across the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
