She then shared the single \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/uproxx.com\/music\/olivia-rodrigo-drop-dead-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">Drop Dead<\/a>\u201d and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXS5a72jXfZ\/\" target=\"_blank\">gave it a surprise debut at Coachella<\/a> this past weekend, popping up during Addison Rae\u2019s set.<\/p>\n<p><em>You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love<\/em> is her third album, but that doesn\u2019t mean the process is always comfortable. For Rodrigo, it actually scares her in some ways.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview with Apple Music\u2019s Zane Lowe, Rodrigo said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s scary. I haven\u2019t put out music in a long time and it\u2019s a really vulnerable thing to be like, \u2018This is what I\u2019ve been going through, this is what I\u2019ve been thinking about.\u2019 It\u2019s a very unique experience to be so personal on such a large scale. But I love it, I think it\u2019s the reason why I love writing songs so much is because I get to process that for myself and then therefore maybe help other people kind of process it and feel it. But it is it\u2019s nerve-wracking, I\u2019d be lying if I if I said it was like, \u2018Wow this feels totally normal and intuitive.\u2019 But yeah, it\u2019s part of the fun and at the end of the day it\u2019s like, you know, music should be fun and beautiful and it should be an experience that brings people joy. Stressing too much about it doesn\u2019t really do too much.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She also discussed the album, saying, \u201cI think every album is just a journey of self-discovery and also learning how to write songs. [\u2026] I think I definitely found a lot of interesting pieces of myself in this album. It\u2019s the first album that is really about joy. It touches on a lot of joy and these being in love, infatuation feelings.
