Bill Maher<\/a> has changed his tune on Donald Trump<\/a> a bit recently, and his friend Woody Harrelson<\/a> can\u2019t help but roast him for it sometimes. The actor appeared as a guest on the April 20 episode of Maher\u2019s\u00a0Club Random<\/em><\/a> podcast, and the comedian explained that Harrelson will be presenting him with The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in two months.<\/p>\n \u201cWoody Harrelson has graciously consented to be one of the presenters at the Mark Twain Awards on June 28, where I will be receiving this honor,\u201d Maher said. \u201cUnless Trump f**ks it up again, which is completely possible.\u201d (Maher previously said that Trump was trying to block him from receiving the honor).<\/p>\n \u201cIsn\u2019t it nice Trump\u2019s allowing you in? Your buddy?\u201d Harrelson asked, sarcastically.<\/p>\n However, Maher didn\u2019t give in to the quip. \u201cI loved it that they tried to block it there,\u201d he said. \u201cHe absolutely still could if he wanted to. So I\u2019m just thankful. I love it that he takes the game seriously. \u2018I\u2019m going to block this guy.\u2019 I respect the move.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0Real Time With Bill Maher<\/a><\/em> host said he\u2019s certain the ceremony is \u201cgoing to happen\u201d on June 28 as planned, then turned serious by telling his friend, \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more appreciative, honestly, that you are doing this for me. Especially for someone who lost 33 Emmys. It\u2019s kind of nice to get.\u201d<\/p>\n Maher notably did not support Trump during his first term, but agreed to have dinner with the president in 2025 after he was reelected. He said he would not pass judgment on the president until after he served a year of his second term in the White House.<\/p>\n In early 2026, Maher declared<\/a>, \u201cHaving been there now for a year, I judge. A lot of things I judge terribly. I just think he\u2019s done a lot of things I absolutely hate.\u201d However, he added, \u201cThere\u2019s also a shorter list of things that aren\u2019t terrible. That I don\u2019t hate. That I\u2019m glad he did.\u201d That list included bombing Iran<\/a> and the \u201cpeace deal in the Middle East,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
