On her Instagram Stories, she added more context, revealing her costume unfortunately went missing. \u201cThis full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing\u2014my costume that was pulled from my personal archives\u2014jacket, corset, dress, and all other garments,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThese aren\u2019t just clothes; they are part of my history. Other archival items from the same era went missing as well. I\u2019m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team.\u201d She provided full contact information on her Instagram Story and added that she is offering a reward:<\/p>\n

I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed Confessions on a Dance Floor Pt. 1 in America, and that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is to be back 20 years later in the same boots, with the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, a Gucci jacket. So it\u2019s like a full circle moment, you know? Very meaningful for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carpenter is a huge fan of Madonna and has performed covers of her songs before, especially during her Short n\u2019 Sweet tour.<\/p>\n
During her weekend 1 Coachella set, Carpenter had a number of other special guests, including Susan Sarandon, Samuel L. Jackson, Will Ferrell, and her Girl Meets World co-star Corey Fogelmanis. For weekend 2, she welcomed actors Geena Davis and Terry Crews.<\/p>\n
Before her performance, Carpenter told Marc Jacobs for Perfect<\/a> magazine that she had invested a lot in the show.<\/p>\n\u201cIt\u2019s the most ambitious show I\u2019ve ever done,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s probably the most time I\u2019ve ever had to actually just sit down and talk about a show as I\u2019m building it. Most of the time, you\u2019re really quickly thrust into physical rehearsals, but this time around we started this process around seven months ago. So it\u2019s been a long journey.
