According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail<\/a>, the push for Whoopi’s departure after two decades behind the desk stems from claims that the Ghost star is unable to afford retirement despite her $8 million\/year salary and repeated public spats with conservative guests and co-hosts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, the insider also suggested that producers may be baiting Whoopi by booking more right-leaning guests, such as RFK Jr.’s wife, Cheryl Hines, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
