In a new SiriusXM interview, the Bleachers frontman clarified that fans of his music were not among those lurking outside<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Despite the commotion outside, the wedding couple had a lovely night surrounded by loved ones, Antonoff said<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Jack Antonoff<\/a> is condemning the “vultures” who gathered outside his wedding.<\/p>\n The producer and Bleachers frontman, 42, reflected on the chaotic scene outside his 2023 wedding to actress Margaret Qualley<\/a> during an appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n The newlyweds still had a grand night alongside their loved ones, Antonoff said \u2014 despite what he previously called “dips— palooza” transpiring outside the wedding’s closed doors.<\/p>\n Antonoff clarified that the unwelcome onlookers in question were not fans of his or the Bleachers, nor were they fans of anyone celebrating inside.<\/p>\n “So there’s the people who love your music. Right? Those are the best people. Well, I’m in a conversation with them,” he began. “There’s the people who are interested on a bigger level … Sort of like the aunt at the family gathering like, ‘What’s it like to play in front of people?’ You’re like, ‘That’s cool. I’ll tell you, Judy,’ you know, who are just fascinated.”<\/p>\n Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff. “And then there’s the dips— palooza, which is \u2014 those are the vultures,” he said.<\/p>\n In a message about Bleachers’ song “Dirty Wedding Dress” months after his wedding, Antonoff defended the fans of his work. “I know them when I see them,” he wrote in the message sent to the Bleachers’ mailing list, and it was clear to him that those lurking outside his wedding were “just run of the mill dips—s coming to stare at people.”<\/p>\n Still, he noted in the message, the couple and their guests almost didn’t notice the crowd, and the special night proceeded normally despite the commotion outside.<\/p>\n “That’s the thing about closing doors.
