ABC7<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nHightower was arrested in the Bronx on Tuesday morning looking \u201cvery disheveled, like he\u2019s been out on the street since the incident,\u201d NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told The Post.<\/p>\n
The teen had two previous domestic-incident reports involving his mom, 38, at the residence in 2025. In one instance, she told cops her son had access to a firearm \u2014 apparently the one later used in the shooting.<\/p>\n
Kenny said he did not know whether Hightower had the gun on him when he was arrested Tuesday. He said a warrant was required before they could search his backpack.<\/p>\n
Hightower has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm, cops said. Court will determine whether he\u2019s going through as an adult or a juvenile.\u00a0<\/p>\n
