It\u2019s already been 10 years since we lost Prince, who died on 21 April 2026 of an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 57.<\/p>\n

To mark the anniversary of the legendary musician’s death, a new single has been released, titled \u2018With This Tear\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecorded in 1991 at Paisley Park and newly mixed by Chris James, this track finds Prince in full command, writing, producing, and performing every note,\u201d a description reads on Prince\u2019s official social media channels.<\/p>\n

\u201cLater recorded and released by C\u00e9line Dion, the song now returns in its original form.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, Dion\u2019s version of the piano ballad appeared on her 1992 self-titled album.<\/p>\n

Reacting to Prince\u2019s rendition, Dion wrote on Instagram: \u201c\u2018With This Tear\u2019 was a gift from Prince that I will always treasure. I have carried this song with me for so many years. To now hear his version, shared for the very first time, feels truly special. Celine xx\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Prince\u2019s estate, \u2018With This Tear\u2019 marks \u201cthe beginning of a number of unreleased Prince recordings scheduled for release this year, as part of a never-before-released Prince album project\u201d.<\/p>\n

No further details have yet been released.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Prince made headlines earlier this year when it was revealed that the artist\u2019s estate refused for his music to be included in the Melania<\/strong><\/a> film.<\/p>\n

Producer Marc Beckman explained that a \u201clawyer that manages the estate\u201d had got in touch, saying: \u201cPrince would never want his song associated with Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

In our review of Melania<\/strong><\/a>, we wrote: \u201cWhile there could have been a flickering ember of hope that we actually might learn something about the former model from Slovenia who ended up marrying the most anti-immigrant president the US has known, to say that Melania is short on substance is a cruel insult to things that are short on substance.\u201d<\/p>\n
