A Brixton BID initiative, Brixton Performs is a wide-ranging series of music and comedy events taking place across a variety of Brixton\u2019s best-loved venues throughout the week.<\/p>\n

Wed 22 April | 7pm til late Jim Sharp at Chip Shop Brixton<\/strong>
London DJ and music producer Jim Sharp \u2014 formerly known as J.Bold \u2014 brings his signature sound to Chip Shop Brixton. Sharp first made his mark with The Transatlantic Accent EP on Championship Vinyl, named Hip Hop Single of the Month by DJ Magazine.<\/p>\n

His musical journey has taken him from hip hop roots to club-focused sounds, with releases on T&A Records and remix credits for artists including Talib Kweli, Wiley, and Sway.

Accompanied by guitarist Joe Chiari for this intimate acoustic gig, Berlin-based artist Sedric Perry is the Brixton Village Courtyard\u2019s very special Sunday afternoon guest.<\/p>\n

Hailing originally from Philadelphia by way of New York, Sedric traces his soulful sound back to his gospel roots, weaving them into a luminous blend of jazz, R&B and house.<\/p>\n
