On Monday, April 20, Abbie Herbert shared some of her husband Josh’s phobias and anxieties and explained how she supports him<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
The influencer listed his fears of flying, elevators, crowds and germs among his biggest issues, many of which impact his daily life<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
Abbie said that she and Josh have managed to find a “good routine” as they care for their three kids, daughter Poppy, 4, and sons Jagger, 3, and Rocky Blue, whose birth they announced in December 2025<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Abbie Herbert<\/a> is opening up about how she supports her husband, Josh Herbert<\/a>, as he copes with several phobias and anxieties.<\/p>\n On Monday, April 20, the content creator posted a TikTok to explain<\/a> the struggles Josh “deals with on a daily basis,” about which he is “very vocal and open,” said Abbie. She continued to list his fears of flying in planes, taking elevators, being in crowds and encountering germs, in addition to his general agoraphobia.<\/p>\n In terms of air travel, Abbie says she helps him by driving places when possible, and she noted that they’ve taken multiple road trips between Los Angeles and Pittsburgh and from Pittsburgh to Vancouver. He does fly, but it takes a lot out of him, and flying with Josh takes a lot out of me, honestly,” she admitted. “Flying with him and kids, I would actually just rather drive. So when we do solo trips or work trips and we have to fly, I can just focus on him and do whatever he needs.”<\/p>\n Once they arrive at their destination on a trip, Abbie said they make sure to reserve accommodation on a “low floor” since Josh has an issue with elevators. “Anytime we are out, stairs all the way. And it’s just a known thing now with my family,” she said. “He does not do high buildings. So New York City is his, like, nightmare.”<\/p>\n Josh’s phobias also impact their individual responsibilities as parents, namely because “he is not into crowds” or “tight spaces,” as Abbie explained in her TikTok. She continued to share how she accompanies their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy<\/a>, to her cheerleading competitions while Josh stays home with their son Jagger<\/a>, 3. (The couple announced the birth of their third child, son Rocky Blue<\/a>, in December 2025.)<\/p>\n “When Josh goes to places, he immediately looks for all the exits. He knows how to get out of a space,” said the mom of three. She went on to discuss how Josh “stresses about germs,” an issue they are “trying to navigate now” since they’ve seen it impact their eldest. Abbie recalled, “My 4-year-old literally left the store, and she immediately was like, ‘Aah! Oh, my gosh. We were just at a dirty store, and I didn’t wash my hands yet.’ So we’re working through that.”<\/p>\n She noted that while Josh is content to “literally never leave the house,” Abbie personally hates sitting at home. I’ll take them out for the day. You do your workout’ \u2014 Josh’s thing [is] he’s gotta work out every day. That’s good for his mental health,” she said. “Then I’m just like, ‘Can you please clean the house? Or do this or do that, do the laundry, do that.’ And it just works.”<\/p>\n She concluded the video by wondering if any of her viewers have significant others, family members or anyone close to them who deals with similar anxieties, and she asked what they do to help. “Because I’m always learning.
