Have you ever been in a situation where someone tells you the phrase “you hate me”? Man, that’s the fucking worst. What are you going to say? You have to be like, “Um, no I don’t,” even if you do<\/em> actually hate that person. And if you don’t <\/em>hate them, your denial is still going to come off hollow. Please, everyone, don’t use that phrase in any type of conversation. I guess it works as a song title, though, especially if we’re talking about an emo song.<\/p>\n “You Hate Me” is the latest song from Koyo, the Long Island emo band made up of heavy hardcore veterans. Koyo’s new album Barely Here<\/em> comes out next month, and it’s got appearances from Drain’s Sammy Ciaramitaro and Fleshwater’s Marisa Shirar. We’ve already posted the singles “Irreversible<\/a>” and “What I’m Worth<\/a>.”<\/p>\n “You Hate Me” is an energetic and accusatory song that gives off major Taking Back Sunday vibes. That’s fully intentional. I am dead certain that Koyo want you to think of Taking Back Sunday. The video for “You Hate Me” has a whole lot of movement. Check it out below.<\/p>\n
