The allegations about Patel\u2019s Vegas nights were featured in a bombshell report in The Atlantic<\/a> detailing instances of \u201cexcessive drinking\u201d and \u201cunexplained absences,\u201d all of which the FBI director has denied. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt is a little weird that a man whose job is in Washington, D.C., also frequently goes to something called The Poodle Room in Las Vegas. But I\u2019m sure The Poodle Room is a distinguished, respectable, hypoallergenic social club where important men network and exchange ideas,\u201d Kosta said, before showing a supposed promotional video for the club. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo, it\u2019s a coke den,\u201d Kosta responded. \u201cLadies, if you want to get an STD on a circular waterbed, might I recommend meeting a gentleman at The Poodle Room? Imagine you\u2019re this guy at The Poodle Room. Just having a good time with your shirt unbuttoned all the way. And all of a sudden, you\u2019re like, \u2018Is that the FBI director throwing up on himself?\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Patel has denied the claims made in The Atlantic article and has filed a $250 million lawsuit<\/a> against the magazine. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a statement on Monday, The Atlantic described Patel\u2019s lawsuit as \u201cmeritless.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe stand by our reporting on Kash Patel, and we will vigorously defend The Atlantic and our journalists against this meritless lawsuit,\u201d <\/span>the statement read.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
