What started casually quickly evolved into a record that would ultimately define Bolan\u2019s voice as both a songwriter and storyteller.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGargoyle Of The Garden State is not a project, it is every bit of my soul,\u201d says Bolan. \u201cLike me, it knows when to be serious and also knows where the party is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The record delivers several standout moments, including a surprising cover of Oasis\u2019 \u201cRock And Roll Star,\u201d reimagined through Bolan\u2019s distinctive lens. Expanding well beyond his role as a bassist, Bolan performs most instruments himself, shaping the record from the ground up.
