Megxit was sparked by the pair throwing their toys out the pram at the late Queen Elizabeth’s<\/a> refusal to let them be commercial rent-a-royals – or ‘half-in-half-out’, combining charity<\/a> work with raking in the cash. But after landing back in California<\/a>, the Sussexes appear to believe they took Oz by storm on their four-day trip.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A source said this left them believing “the tide is finally turning in their favour” – and not only could more private tours be planned in the future but they hope to be “impressing” the Royal Family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In those halcyon days before Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding when they were getting on, Brits were thrilled by our royal ‘Fab Four’ of the Sussexes with Prince William<\/a> and Princess Catherine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But if Harry and Meghan think they can get the band back together for a new world tour they may be disappointed, as the band has already reformed and is playing sweet music without them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During celebrations in Marble Hall to commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday, the increasingly admired Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh – Edward and Sophie – could not be separated from William and Catherine’s side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The event, which took place at Buckingham Palace, saw around 190 guests in attendance but it was the foursome that caught everyone’s eye.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Edward, 62, is thought to share a close bond with his 43-year-old nephew, only 19 years his junior, and they share the late Queen’s lifelong sense of duty and hard work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Much like their husbands, Catherine, 44, is said to share a close relationship with Sophie, 61 – who also joined the Royal Family through marriage – they even raised a cocktail together in memory of the late Queen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As well as the Royals, guests at the reception included representatives from a selection of Elizabeth\u2019s patronages, including aptly the Jockey Club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So if Harry and Meghan think they can jet into Blighty and carry on from where they left off, they may find that particular horse has already bolted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
