Sheinelle Jones<\/a> has earned a new title thanks to her first-ever book<\/a>, Through Mom\u2019s Eyes.<\/p>\n In a Wedensday, April 22, Instagram post<\/a>, the Today<\/a> host revealed that she has officially become a New York Times best-selling author. \u201cThis \u2013 is because of your support. Thank you so much. #1 New York Times Best Seller!!!!\u201d she captioned a clip of her reaction to the news. \u201cIt\u2019s just beyond. My dream \u2013 has been to uplift & empower women. You\u2019ve made my dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n In the video, Jones sat on a staircase as a member of her team told her over the phone, \u201cYou debuted at No. 1.\u201d Jones screamed with excitement before hugging her youngest son, Uche. \u201cWhat? What? Oh, my god!\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n From upstairs, Jones\u2019 daughter, Clara, asked, \u201cWhat just happened?\u201d Jones replied, \u201cI\u2019m No. 1 on The New York Times Best Seller list.\u201d Clara congratulated her mom, stating, \u201cOh, that\u2019s so cool!\u201d<\/p>\n The clip ended with Jones thanking Clara before adding, \u201cThat\u2019s crazy. That\u2019s amazing. I\u2019m dropping my readers.\u201d (Jones shares her three kids<\/a>, including son Kayin, with her late husband, Uche Ojeh<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Celebrities and fans filled the post\u2019s comments with their congratulations. \u201cWay to go, friend!!!!\u201d wrote Sterling K. Well deserved!\u201d A separate commenter stated, \u201cHere you go Gurl, it\u2019s all for and about YOU!=Uche, is smiling down so proudly ~ CONGRATS!!\u201d<\/p>\n Through Mom\u2019s Eyes was originally scheduled to be released last year, but the book was delayed<\/a> as Jones supported Ojeh through his private battle with brain cancer. Ojeh died<\/a> at the age of 45 in May 2025, and she returned<\/a> to Today that September. Jones began her new role<\/a> as Jenna Bush Hager<\/a>\u2018s fourth hour of Today co-host in January.<\/p>\n Ahead of the book\u2019s April 14 release, Jones opened up about how Ojeh and her late grandmother, Josephine Vonceal Pace Brown (who died<\/a> at the age of 96 in December 2025), inspired her<\/a> to release the book.<\/p>\n \u201cI wrote this when my life was, frankly, falling apart, and motherhood doesn\u2019t stop. That\u2019s what I\u2019ve learned,\u201d she said on the March 23 episode<\/a> of Today. \u201cIf anything, the volume turns up when life gets hard.
