Weeks after she posted a video of her deep jaw release procedure, LeAnn Rimes calls out the critics who called it \u201cfake.\u201d <\/p>\n
Rimes took to Instagram in late March to share a\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0of herself undergoing the procedure. In it, the \u201cCan\u2019t Fight the Moonlight\u201d singer was seen crying.<\/p>\n \u201cHealing isn\u2019t always quiet,\u201d she wrote in the post\u2019s caption. \u201cSometimes it\u2019s a physical letting go of things we didn\u2019t even know we were carrying.\u201d<\/p>\n Rimes then described the procedure. \u201cThe jaw is one of the body\u2019s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck \u2018locks\u2019 to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.\u201d<\/p>\n In a livestream over the weekend, Rimes with Human Garage founder Garry Lineham, who performed the procedure, addressed the criticism of the video. <\/p>\n \u201cThe people were commenting on [the post], being [like], \u2018Of course the camera was on, she was gonna cry.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018I can act, but I am not that good,’\u201d she said. I am not that good. I\u2019m not\u00a0Meryl Streep.\u201d<\/p>\n The country superstar then said, \u201cThat\u2019s just real, and I feel like the older I get, and it\u2019s been probably the last decade of my life, I feel like the more honest I can be. People finally get to see me, and there\u2019s no pretense about that.\u201d<\/p>\n Rimes added that the jaw release therapy was among the proedures she\u2019s trying out amid her health journey. She noted she was also on a \u201cperimenopausal, menopausal journey.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m starting to see new things show up in my body,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd so I want to be able to maintain a level of performance on stage, a level of health and wellness in my own personal life, and a sense of ease in my body.\u201d <\/p>\n Among the online critics who came after Rimes for the video was Brandi Glanville, who was previously married to the singer\u2019s husband, Eddie Cibrian. <\/p>\n Glanville mentioned the video during a recent episode of her podcast,\u00a0Unfiltered<\/a>. \u201cWe did see LeAnn Rimes in the news today,\u201d the\u00a0Real Housewives\u00a0star shared. \u201cI don\u2019t understand why I saw it, and I\u2019ve had [that procedure] done a million times [because] I have TMJ.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the remark, Glanville and Rimes seem to have a good co-parenting relationship. They previously had issues over Cibrian having an affair with Rimes during his marriage to Glanville.
