Photo courtesy of the Old Forge Library.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-spring-nbsp-story-nbsp-time-nbsp-at-the-old-forge-library\">Spring\u00a0Story\u00a0Time\u00a0at the Old Forge Library<\/h2>\n<p><strong>10:15-11 a.m. on April 24 in Old Forge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Five\u00a0Spring Story\u00a0Time\u00a0sessions will be held on Fridays from April 24\u00a0 through May 22 at the Old Forge Library.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-1    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Led by Old Forge Library staff, Beverly Meeker and Sarah Bolton,\u00a0Story\u00a0Time\u00a0is designed for children ages 3\u20136. Each 45 minute session features\u00a0stories\u00a0and creative play, including games, crafts, songs and other gentle activities that encourage imagination and creative thinking.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Parents may bring toddler-aged children as well; an adult must remain with the child throughout the program. From the nostalgic whistle of the\u00a0Saratoga Corinth &amp; Hudson Railway\u00a0to the gleaming chrome at the\u00a0Lil\u2019 Sugar Dust Off Car Show, the festival offers a mix of vintage charm and local flavor.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-anzac-day-commemoration\">ANZAC Day commemoration <\/h2>\n<p><strong>11 a.m. on April 25 in Saranac Lake<\/strong><\/p>\n<aside>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Saranac Lake will commemorate Anzac Day, honoring Australia and New Zealand, their service members and all who have served, while raising awareness of post-traumatic stress. Lucinda Williams is a true American original, one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters of her generation. Her vast catalogue\u00a0of music ranges from Americana to full throttle rock and roll. This project, led by Scott Renderer, features an all-star lineup of local musicians interpreting Lucinda\u2019s canon. The evening will feature classic bingo played on a professional machine, a lively guest caller, and plenty of prizes waiting to be won.<\/p>\n<p>The library will provide a hearty main dish, beverages, and all necessary tableware. Guests who wish to contribute are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert, especially those with a recipe worth showing off.<\/p>\n<p>To register or sign up for the potluck, attendees can call 315-369-6008, email <a>oldforge@midyork.org<\/a>, or stop by the front desk.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-register-for-rangeley-rendezvous-paddling-festival-in-june\">Register for Rangeley Rendezvous paddling festival in June<\/h2>\n<p><strong>June 19-21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rangeley Lakes Region in western Maine will be the site of a new paddling festival to kick off the summer season.\u00a0The Rangeley Rendezvous will offer trips, clinics, a race and social activities for paddling enthusiasts. The event will be based in the town of Rangeley, but spread out to the many nearby scenic waterways. Participants are welcome to join for individual activities or the entire weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The rendezvous will start on Friday with a social gathering, setting up two days of fun on the water.
