Laura Loomer is raging over her legal loss to Bill Maher.<\/p>\n

The far-right political activist, 32, has been embroiled in a lawsuit involving the late night host, 70, ever since he used his show, Real Time with Bill Maher<\/a>, to take a dig at her close relationship to Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Years before, he gave scathing rebuke on the U.S. president<\/a>, Maher said, \u201cShe\u2019s 31. Looks like his type. \u201cWe did an editorial here a few years ago\u2026it was basically \u2018Who\u2019s Trump F—ing\u2019 because I said, \u2018It\u2019s not nobody. He\u2019s been a dog for too long and it\u2019s not Melania. I think we may have had our answer this week. I think it might be Laura Loomer.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Days after the September 2024 episode, Loomer sued him, and HBO, for defamation. However, on Thursday, April 23, a judge finally ruled in favor of the host, explaining he failed to find \u201cactual malice\u201d in Maher\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n

Judge James S. Moody Jr. said Loomer \u201cbelieved she had a close relationship with\u201d and traveled \u201con his private jet five to six times\u201d in the week leading up to Maher\u2019s comments. He rationalized this led to \u201cextensive chattering about the nature of their relationship,\u201d hinting Maher was just one with the same speculation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Loomer described Maher\u2019s comments as \u201cno joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

She mentioned, \u201cEven if it was, it was legally actionable and has led to continued defamation, threats and misogynistic and unwanted sexual comments to be made towards me. It is also very disrespectful and defamatory of President Trump and [Melania Trump], both of whom I respect greatly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is beyond the pale for any judge to say that a woman can be accused of having sex with a man and have it be brushed off as \u2018a joke\u2019 just because she proclaimed a platonic love for their politics and leadership style. The ruling is totally dishonest and misogynistic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loomer went on to criticize Maher, who she says is \u201crabidly anti-Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

She believes his comments were made to \u201cfurther the election of Kamala Harris<\/a> and smear my reputation when I have always been highly professional in my support of President Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
