Comedian Russell Brand<\/a> admitted to podcast host Megyn Kelly<\/a> on Wednesday that he had sex with a 16-year-old when he was 30, calling it \u201cexploitative\u201d but saying that it was not illegal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kelly said the report made her angry, but that she was open-minded to the possibility that Brand was being \u201crailroaded.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI did sleep with a 16-year-old when I was 30,\u201d said the comedian, who\u2019s now 50. \u201cWhen I was 30, I was a very different person. I was a lot younger, and I was an immature 30-year-old.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cConsensual sex, actually, with a variety of people, when there is a strong power differential, as there is when you are a famous man that has the ability to attract women that I had at that time, I think involves exploitation,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think it is exploitative.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI recognize that my sexual conduct in the past was selfish, and I did not apply enough consideration \u2014 barely any, I suppose, really \u2014 to how that sex was affecting other people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The \u201cArthur\u201d and \u201cGet Me To The Greek\u201d star got baptized in 2024 after the allegations emerged, and has taken a right-wing political turn. He recently spoke at a Turning Point USA event<\/a> in December.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
