Did you know that Orange County is currently in the midst of an enormous overhaul surrounding Honda Center<\/a><\/strong>? <\/p>\n

OCVIBE <\/strong>is a new public gathering space covering 100 acres in Anaheim, <\/strong>promising an impressive lineup of public parks, a state-of-the-art entertainment venue<\/strong>, modern residences and hotels, and dozens of restaurants. <\/p>\n

We\u2019ll be able to enjoy some of OCVIBE\u2019s biggest offerings as early as 2027. Here\u2019s a closer look. <\/p>\n

Things to look forward to at OCVIBE<\/h2>\n

OCVIBE will open its lineup of entertainment spaces and public areas in phases, per the following timeline. <\/p>\n

This year, work is centered around a $1 billion renovation of Honda Center<\/strong>, home of Anaheim Ducks hockey, global concert tours, and entertainment. Look for refreshed concessions, including a self-pouring beer wall, and two new multi-level parking garages. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 5,000-person, 18,000-square-foot OCVIBE Concert Hall <\/strong>opens in early 2027, ready to host everything from televised award shows to major concerts. It will debut alongside the landscaped Urban Park<\/strong>, with 3 miles of walkable trails, an outdoor public art gallery<\/a>, and brand new parks and plazas. <\/p>\n

Also in 2027, OCVIBE will open Katella Commons<\/strong>, a food market hall featuring six integrated bars and lounges where you can enjoy food and drinks by 21 carefully chosen chefs. <\/p>\n

Future vision<\/h2>\n

Further ahead in 2028 and 2029, visitors can look forward to even more public green spaces<\/strong>, as well as two hotels and initial residences<\/strong> ready for move-in, and a 300-capacity \u201cGolden Bear\u201d club.<\/p>\n

OCVIBE is envisioned as a transit-oriented, inclusive, and sustainable<\/strong> public gathering space featuring LEED buildings and mindfully designed open spaces. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe open space network at OCVIBE was designed to be a series of intentionally episodic spaces that support community health<\/strong> as well as physical and mental well-being for everyone who visits OCVIBE,\u201d said David Fletcher, Landscape Architect at Fletcher Studio, the SF-based design collaborative behind OCVIBE.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe spaces and plantings were shaped around how people gather, move and connect. There is a park within a 5-minute walk from anywhere on the site<\/strong>. It\u2019s a place where wellness is embedded and where art, nature, shade, sunlight, and programming come together to enhance your day-to-day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new community is anticipating a 2033 completion date<\/strong>, at which point guests will be able to enjoy 20 new acres of open space, more than 2,000 residences, 35+ dining experiences, and three entertainment venues. <\/p>\n
