Former M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/b> and current THE DEAD DAISIES<\/b> frontman John Corabi<\/b> released his debut full-length solo album, “New Day”<\/b>, on April 24, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl<\/b>. The official music video for the LP’s fourth single, “1969”<\/b>, can be seen below.<\/p>\n
On the track, John<\/b> comments: “‘1969’<\/b> is a great song inspired by the current situations in America, which made me think of another turbulent time in the 60’s-70’s\u2026 The riff throughout is compliments of Stevie D<\/b> (from BUCKCHERRY<\/b>) and inspired by one of my favorite bands CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL<\/b>.”<\/p>\n
“New Day”<\/b> marks Corabi<\/b>‘s first full-length solo album of original material. Recorded in Nashville during the summer of 2025 and produced by multi-platinum songwriter and producer Marti Frederiksen<\/b> (AEROSMITH<\/b>, Ozzy Osbourne<\/b>, BUCKCHERRY<\/b>),the album fuses classic ’70s rock, soul, and blues influences into a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal.<\/p>\n
The record features the previously released singles “Cos\u00ec Bella (So Beautiful)”<\/b> (2021) and “Your Own Worst Enemy”<\/b> (2022),now presented as part of a rich collection of tracks that spotlight his commanding vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and masterful songwriting. Throughout the album, Corabi<\/b> is joined by Marti Frederiksen<\/b>, who adds backing vocals, guitars, piano, and percussion; Evan Frederiksen<\/b> on drums, bass, B3 organ, electric guitar, mandolin, and programming; Richard Fortus<\/b> (GUNS N’ ROSES<\/b>) on lead guitar; Paul Taylor<\/b> (WINGER<\/b>, Steve Perry<\/b>) contributing piano, organ, and clavinet, as well as Charlie Starr (BLACKBERRY SMOKE<\/b>) offering guitar solos. Together, they create an organic, instrument-driven sound built on real performances, melodic interplay, and soulful energy.<\/p>\n

Corabi<\/b> is a journeyman singer-songwriter and guitarist who burst on to the music scene with Hollywood Records<\/b> recording artists THE SCREAM<\/b> in 1991. Touring extensively throughout the United States on the strength of their songs “Man In The Moon”<\/b>, “I Believe In Me”<\/b> and “Father Mother Son”<\/b>, John<\/b> attracted the attention of radio, MTV<\/b>, fans and critics alike.<\/p>\n
M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/b>‘s Nikki Sixx<\/b> reached out to John<\/b> after the departure of Vince Neil<\/b> in 1992 and asked him to join the band for the writing and recording of their 1994 self-titled record. During the recording process of the follow-up “Generation Swine”<\/b> album in late 1996, Neil<\/b> returned to the band, and John<\/b> started the band UNION<\/b> with former KISS<\/b> guitarist Bruce Kulick<\/b>.<\/p>\n
UNION<\/b> headed into a studio to record its debut self-titled album in 1998. With UNION<\/b>, John<\/b> released three albums between 1998 and 2001. Afterwards, John left UNION<\/b> to join the band RATT<\/b> on their 2001 summer tour, handling guitar and backing vocal duties. Touring constantly from 2001 to 2008, John<\/b> eventually left the band to go out on his own.<\/p>\n
John<\/b> released the acoustic album “Unplugged”<\/b> in 2012 and a live album, “Live 94, One Night In Nashville”<\/b>, in 2018, as well as multiple original and tribute singles. John<\/b> received a phone call in 2015 to join the all-star collective called the dead daisies, and has since recorded the albums “Revoluci\u00f3n”<\/b>, “Make Some Noise”<\/b>, “Live And Louder”<\/b>, “Burn It Down”<\/b>, “Light Em’ Up”<\/b> and a recently released blues covers record “Looking For Trouble”<\/b>.<\/p>\n
For the last ten years, with THE DEAD DAISIES<\/b> and as a solo acoustic artist, John<\/b> has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, Japan, South America and Australia, playing all the major festivals and selling out shows to a growing, loyal fan base.With his 2022 autobiography “Horseshoes And Hand Grenades”<\/b> and 19 full-length records under his belt, spanning a 35-year career, John<\/b> is anxious to play the new songs live.<\/p>\n
In February 2018, Corabi<\/b> released a live album of his performance of M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/b>‘s entire 1994 self-titled album, recorded on October 27, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. “Live ’94: One Night In Nashville”<\/b> documents the album in its entirety along with the bonus track “10,000 Miles”<\/b>, which was originally released as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the “Quaternary”<\/b> EP.<\/p>\n
Corabi<\/b>‘s autobiography, “Horseshoes And Hand Grenades”<\/b>, came out in June 2022 via Rare Bird Books<\/b>. It was written with the help of M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/b> historian\/author Paul Miles<\/b>. The book’s description promised to detail the singer’s “life from the mean streets of Philadelphia to the Sunset Strip.” It featured stories from Corabi<\/b>‘s tenures in M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/b>, UNION<\/b>, RATT<\/b> and THE DEAD DAISIES<\/b>, as well as personal tales including “his parents’ difficult divorce, his family’s dark history of abuse [and] his run-in with a serial killer.”<\/p>\n
