After parts of the book were serialised in The Times earlier this year before its publication in March, Harry and Meghan\u2019s team released a savage statement in response<\/a> to claims in the book. The statement claimed Bower had “long crossed the line from criticism into fixation”, reading: \u201cThis is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Bower seems unphased by the couple\u2019s attack against his book, he told The Daily Expresso that the couple simply can\u2019t take criticism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also made a brutal remark about Harry\u2019s reading abilities, claiming he \u201ccan\u2019t read a book\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bower said: \u201cI mean, Harry can\u2019t read a book, he never has. And I don\u2019t think Meghan reads many books either. But what I take from it is this (the statement), that the thing with Harry and Meghan is that they think only their narrative, only their story should be accepted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThey can\u2019t take it that somebody could criticise them, that someone could question them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He claimed: \u201cI think it’s a relationship based on a good business understanding. He needs her, because he\u2019s a lonely sad man, and she needs the label.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harry and Meghan have not made any more statements regarding Bower\u2019s book or anything he has since said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
