American artist Nick Cave describes his work as \u201cfigurative sculptural,\u201d where textiles and discarded materials suggest a \u201csecond skin\u201d that conceals gender, race, and class.<\/p>\n<p>For Finnish artist Kaarina Kaikkonen, second-hand shirts carry a sense of intimacy and memory.
