I love you, thank you God. out everywhere now \ud83d\udc26\u200d\ud83d\udd25\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>The self-titled album is filled with celebrity cameos, including collaborations with Cardi B<\/strong>, Brandy<\/strong>, Missy Elliott<\/strong>, Lil Wayne<\/strong>, and Usher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a new interview with Complex<\/a><\/em>, Kehlani<\/strong> opened up about the two-year process she went through while creating the album, which began with her working through some emotional baggage.<\/p>\n \u201cI went and locked myself in the room, and I started randomly processing a bunch of things from 2020,\u201d Kehlani<\/strong> recalled. \u201cI started making all this weird music. All this dark, weird, and emotional s\u2013t with my engineer.\u201d<\/p>\n After getting out of her system, Kehlani<\/strong> resumed the process of making the album.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I went back to Los Angeles, I knew what time it was,\u201d she said. \u201cWeeks later came \u2018Folded.\u2019 I knew, \u2018Oh, something\u2019s happening.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t see, Kehlani<\/strong> is nominated for three awards at the 2026 American Music Awards<\/em>, which are taking place on May 25 with Queen Latifah<\/strong> as host. Kehlani<\/strong> is up for Best Female R&B Artist while her song \u201cFolded\u201d is nominated for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song.
