The proposal has sparked backlash from local musicians claiming the new venue would have an\u00a0adverse\u00a0affect\u00a0on the local independent music scene. Other critics said the venue would contribute to traffic problems in the city on concert nights.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s organizers have countered that the proposal\u00a0complied with\u00a0existing building\u00a0codes, and\u00a0therefore should not be denied.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The council\u00a0acted in August 2025 to set up a moratorium on projects like the Live Nation proposal to examine the existing city ordinances.
