While audiences may think that Prime Video\u2019s Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat<\/em> found another rare unicorn of a decent, likable human being in the show\u2019s real-life main character Anthony Norman, the executive producers say they think there are plenty more people out there who fit that bill.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to diminish the job that we\u2019ve done picking these people, but I do think there\u2019s a lot more of these people out there in the world that sometimes we\u2019re led to believe based on what we see online and in the news,\u201d executive producer Todd Schulman said during Deadline\u2019s Contenders TV panel for the series. \u201cMost people, when you give them the chance, will make great choices.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI think we want someone who kind of reflects what we all hope we\u2019d be given in this situation and opportunity, which is our best possible selves,\u201d Schulman continued. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to find someone who kind of seems like they\u2019re secure in who they are. They kind of have a good sense of self, but also a big heart, comfortable in any situation. And then there\u2019s this kind of X factor where we all kind of sit around going \u2018Who do we want to spend the next two weeks secretly watching?\u2019 And both Anthony and [Season One star] Ronald [Gaddon] both exceeded our expectations in terms of just how incredible they were in these situations.\u201d<\/p>\n RELATED:\u00a0<\/strong>Full Coverage Of Deadline\u2019s Contenders TV Event<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Executive producer Nicholas Hatton added it\u2019s their hope cast members have enjoyed the experience when it\u2019s over. \u201cEven after we\u2019re all said and done and we make it, if they don\u2019t want to be the hero of the show, then there is no show for us to make because that\u2019s not the spirit that we\u2019ve made it in. So we really want them to, at the end of it, to have been like, \u2018Okay, this was insane and mad, but I\u2019m glad to have been a part of it and I appreciate this moment in my life, essentially.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think [viewers] sense that our hero is getting something out of this experience,\u201d added Hatton. \u201cAnd then when they get to the end, it\u2019s like, oh, there\u2019s a sense of relief ultimately that they had a good time.
