KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 The Kansas City Royals have moved up their game time against the Los Angeles Angels due to severe weather risks across the metro Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

The team announced Sunday morning that the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium will now be thrown at 3:10 p.m. instead of 6:20 p.m., as previously scheduled.<\/p>\n

According to the Royals, the change is \u201cout of an abundance of caution due to the potential for inclement weather tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kansas City metro is currently under a level 3\/5 risk of severe storms later Sunday and into the overnight hours.<\/p>\n

The main threats for Sunday night are wind, hail and potential flash flooding. There are also risks of tornadoes; however, those chances are on the lower end, FOX4\u2019s Joe Lauria says<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
