And at a show in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday night, he offered some idea how a new Weeknd song might sound.<\/p>\n The Weeknd played Rio de Janeiro’s Est\u00e1dio Ol\u00edmpico Nilton Santos with the Brazilian star Anitta on Sunday night. They’ve worked together before, collaborating on “S\u00e3o Paulo<\/a>,” a track from the Weeknd’s 2025 album Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/a><\/em>. Before they released that track, the Weeknd and Anitta teased it<\/a> at a 2024 show in S\u00e3o Paulo. On Sunday night in Rio, the Weeknd and Anitta did something similar, teasing a new song that seems to be called “Rio” while performing in Rio.<\/p>\n After the Weeknd and Anitta performed “S\u00e3o Paulo” together in Rio last night, their newest collab played over the stadium speakers. Video screens showed a CGI video credited to the prolific Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, and the Weeknd posted video from the show on his Instagram today. It’s currently the only video on his Instagram. The song sounds pretty fucking good to me!
