NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Oprah Winfrey\u2019s podcast is headed to Amazon. Winfrey\u2019s production company, Harpo Entertainment, struck a multiyear deal\u2026<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Oprah Winfrey\u2019s<\/a> podcast is headed to Amazon.<\/p>\n

Winfrey\u2019s production company, Harpo Entertainment, struck a multiyear deal to give Amazon-owned Wondery exclusive distributing and advertising rights to \u201cThe Oprah Podcast,\u201d the companies announced Monday. Under the agreement, Winfrey\u2019s podcast will expand to two new episodes a week starting this summer \u2014 and Wondrey will distribute the show\u2019s audio and video across Amazon platforms.<\/p>\n

Under the deal, Amazon has also obtained rights to the library of the widely-watched \u201cThe Oprah Winfrey Show\u201d \u2014 which ran<\/a> from 1986 to 2011 \u2014 as well as the talk show host\u2019s book club<\/a> and \u201cFavorite Things\u201d<\/a> franchises.<\/p>\n

No financial terms of the agreement were immediately shared.<\/p>\n

Winfrey\u2019s podcast joins a lineup of other celebrity-led shows now at Amazon. In 2024, for example, Wondrey similarly reached<\/a> an exclusive distribution and advertising deal for \u201cNew Heights\u201d \u2014 a podcast from Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Eagles center Jason Kelce.<\/p>\n

Winfrey launched \u201cThe Oprah Podcast\u201d in December 2024<\/a>. In a prepared statement Monday, Winfrey said that hosting the show \u201callows me to continue the work I feel called to do \u2013 opening the door for conversations that matter.\u201d She added that expanding its reach \u201cis an opportunity I embrace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wondery will begin distributing \u201cThe Oprah Podcast\u201d across Amazon services like Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels and Audible in July, according to Monday\u2019s announcement. Winfrey\u2019s podcast will also continue to be available on YouTube and other popular platforms.<\/p>\n
