After surprise-releasing the new song \u201cReward the Scars\u201d<\/a> on Thursday, Korn<\/a> gave the tune its live debut during its co-headlining set at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas on Saturday. The band has also released an official music video for the track.<\/p>\n \u201cReward the Scars\u201d marks the nu-metal band\u2019s first song in four years, and was released in conjunction with the Lord of Hatred<\/em> expansion of the Diablo IV<\/em> video game.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve played Diablo<\/em> for years, so getting to step into that world creatively felt natural,\u201d stated singer Jonathan Davis. \u201cI\u2019ve always connected to the darkness in the game and the idea of confronting what lives beneath the surface \u2014 that\u2019s something Korn<\/span>\u00a0has explored in our music from the beginning. \u2018Reward the Scars\u2019 came out of our own writing sessions as a new\u00a0Korn<\/span>\u00a0song, and it became clear pretty quickly that it was a natural fit for Diablo<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n A press release issued on Monday teases that the song was \u201cwritten during recent studio sessions\u201d and \u201cmarks the first glimpse of what\u2019s to come,\u201d hinting at a potential new album from the veteran band.<\/p>\n Korn co-headlined Sick New World with System of a Down.
