The King\u2019s visit comes during a turbulent time for the US President, due to his war against Iran.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The incident at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Association dinner saw the US President, who had been the previous target of an assassination attempt, swiftly evacuated by Secret Service agents along with other senior members of the administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Saturday\u2019s suspect, said to have been carrying a shotgun and handgun, has been identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He is understood to have been a guest in the Washington Hilton hotel where the event was being held and faces charges including assaulting an officer with a dangerous weapon, but acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said additional charges will be filed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Trump has branded the UK\u2019s approach to the Iran war \u201cterrible\u201d and repeatedly lashed out at Sir Keir Starmer<\/a> \u2013 at one point describing him as \u201cnot Winston Churchill\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And reports have suggested the US could review its position on the Falkland Islands in retaliation for Sir Keir\u2019s lack of support for the war in Iran.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
