It follows frontman Tom Smith\u2019s debut solo record \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/editors-tom-smith-announces-debut-solo-album-with-dreamlike-hopeful-single-life-is-for-living-3884837\">There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn\u2019t There In The Light<\/a>\u2018, which landed last year, and the band\u2019s most recent album in 2022, \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/editors-ebm-review-brooding-bangers-show-flashes-of-their-very-best-3309199\">EBM<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Editors are teasing their new chapter to come with \u2018Call It In\u2019. \u201cWe spent a lot of summer \u201825 holed up in rural Gloucestershire, working on songs with all of us in a room, in a more traditional band set up,\u201d Smith said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Call It In\u2019 is one of the newest songs we worked on, it\u2019s a song about asking for help, really, in the presence of an existential dread, finding solace and comfort in someone close, escaping the deafening noise of modern life,\u201d he added. The band will open a brand new 3,500 capacity venue called The Warehouse in Birmingham\u2019s Villa Park.
