General Hospital<\/em> <\/a>star Kirsten Storms<\/strong>\u2018 ex-husband, Brandon Barash<\/strong>, was granted a restraining order amid concerns for her mental health.<\/p>\n

Barash, 46, recently filed for an emergency restraining order, according to TMZ<\/em><\/a>. The request was approved after Barash claimed that his ex-wife is exhibiting concerning behavior and he fears for their 12-year-old daughter\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n

In his paperwork, Barash \u2014 who was married to Storms, 42, from 2013 to 2016<\/a> \u2014 claimed his concerns started after they moved separately to Tennessee following their divorce. Storms\u2019 landlord went on to sue her for eviction, and \u201cinstability with housing\u201d went on to become a \u201crecurring theme\u201d for the actress.<\/p>\n

Barash also claimed that he loaned Storms $5,000 when her car was about to be repossessed and has yet to receive repayment. In Barash\u2019s filing, he reportedly stated that other issues cause him \u201cgreat concern of [Kirsten\u2019s] ability to adequately care for the minor child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barash recalled an alleged incident in May 2025 when Storms contacted him because she was \u201cexperiencing delusions and hallucinations\u201d and \u201cdidn\u2019t think she should have the child for her parenting time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barash\u2019s current wife, Isabella Devoto<\/strong>, assisted Storms by taking her to a hospital where she was placed on a psychiatric hold. Later that same year, Storms allegedly called Barash with claims that people were breaking into her apartment, removing things and placing them into her car to \u201cmess with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barash alleged that one of Storms\u2019 friends confided in him that the soap star is abusing Adderall and potentially other substances. He also claimed Storms has had \u201crepeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, hearing things\/voices that weren\u2019t there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Storms for comment.<\/p>\n

In his request, Barash asked that the court compel Storms to undergo a mental health evaluation. Storms is currently allowed supervised visitation with their daughter, and this week a judge is scheduled to review the status of the restraining order.<\/p>\n

Storms, who has played Maxie on General Hospital<\/em> on and off<\/a> since 2005, previously announced in July 2025 that she was taking a leave of absence from the show to undergo brain surgery.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn January [2025], I had a new scan done of my brain,\u201d she wrote via Instagram in October 2025. \u201cAfter my surgery in 2021, my amazing neurosurgeon \u2026 has been monitoring the cyst that he left on my brain, when he removed one that was causing me problems.\u201d<\/p>\n
