It\u2019s not that King Charles\u2019 visit to the nation\u2019s capital on the 250th anniversary of America\u2019s independence isn\u2019t important. It\u2019s just that, to Rep. Ro Khanna, justice for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s abuse and sex trafficking should matter just as much.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is<\/em> here for the 250th anniversary,\u201d Khanna told MS NOW on Tuesday, before a roundtable with Epstein survivors and victim advocates on Capitol Hill. \u201cBut I think the question is: why is he not taking this opportunity to recognize the survivors, to make sure that people understand that no one is above the law?\u201d<\/p>\n
Khanna continued that \u201cyou don\u2019t have to be born a king to have your rights protected,\u201d adding that, just because you\u2019re the king\u2019s brother \u2014 like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as \u201cPrince Andrew\u201d \u2014 that doesn\u2019t \u201cgive you the right to treat women and young girls and Americans as dispensable.\u201d<\/p>\n
