\n\tAriana Grande<\/a>\u2018s next era is in bloom. The pop star finally announced on Tuesday (April 28) that her eighth studio album is titled Petal<\/em>, unveiling its release date and cover on social media.<\/p>\n \n\tThe simple, elegant album artwork is a black-and-white photo of Grande in a rare instance of her wearing her hair down, brunette waves falling over her face as she smiles wide. In the caption, she revealed that Petal <\/em>\u2014 which she cowrote and coproduced with longtime collaborator Ilya \u2014 will drop July 31.<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to its countdown page on Spotify<\/a>, the LP will feature 12 tracks. In a release, the Grammy winner said that Petal <\/em>is \u201csomething that is full of life\u201d about \u201cgrowing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPetal <\/em>follows 2024\u2019s Eternal Sunshine<\/em>, which topped the Billboard 200<\/a> and spawned Billboard Hot 100<\/a> No. 1 hits \u201cYes, And?\u201d and \u201cWe Can\u2019t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).\u201d Grande is currently gearing up to go on tour in support of Petal<\/em>\u2018s predecessor, with her first show slated for June 8. The trek will run through Sept. 1 and will close out with a run of 10 shows in London.<\/p>\n \n\tThough the Wicked <\/em>actress had previously said that she wasn\u2019t likely to release new music any time soon, wanting instead to focus on her acting career, she started teasing that she\u2019d changed her mind a few weeks ago. Earlier in April, she confirmed<\/a> that she was back in the studio after planting a major clue in the outgoing message of her Brighter Days hotline that said, \u201cWe\u2019re counting down the 8s \u2014 oops!
