Tarek El Moussa<\/a> is reflecting on all the major milestones he’s hit with his wife Heather<\/a> over the years.<\/p>\nIn an Instagram<\/a> post on Monday, April 27, the HGTV star, 44, detailed the pair’s \u201clove story\u201d and highlighted how they knew they were meant for each other almost immediately \u2014 including when it came to moving in together.<\/p>\n\u201cI laid on my boat horn to grab her attention and keep the other guy from hitting on her,\u201d he wrote over a throwback photo of the pair, referring to the first time they met<\/a> when they were celebrating the Fourth of July at neighboring boat parties in 2019.<\/p>\n\u201cFirst date and I knew I met the love of my life,\u201d he continued. \u201cLess than a week after, we moved in together and never looked back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sharing another photo of his two older kids when they were younger, he added, \u201cHeather met Taylor and Brayden for the first time.\u201d Tarek shares his now 15-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son with his ex-wife, HGTV star Christina Haack<\/a>.<\/p>\nOver a photo from his romantic proposal to Heather<\/a>, 38, in Catalina Island, Calif., he added, \u201cI got down on one knee to ask this woman to spend her life with me.”<\/p>\n\u201cHad some troubles planning a wedding during the pandemic,\u201d Tarek continued, before referring to their October 2021 wedding<\/a>, \u201cFinally got married! (Flipped her name for good).\u201d<\/p>\nHe then shared a snap from their honeymoon in the Maldives<\/a>, before getting into their journey of deciding whether or not to have more children.<\/p>\n\u201cWe didn’t want more kids, but then changed our minds, and started IVF together. Heather had her egg extractions done. Baby El Moussa was on his way! Baby boy El Moussa, actually,\u201d he said, referring to his and Heather’s son Tristan, who was born in January 2023.<\/p>\n
He concluded the post by recalling the launch of his and Heather’s HGTV series, The Flipping El Moussas<\/em>. (A source told PEOPLE in July 2025 that the show would not be returning for another season<\/a>.)<\/p>\nTarek also highlighted their other HGTV show, The Flip Off<\/em>, starring the El Moussas alongside Haack.
