Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> on Tuesday night called out President Donald Trump<\/a> for making a joke about his own mortality<\/a> just one day after he called for Kimmel to be fired for making a similar joke. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n During his remarks welcoming King Charles III<\/a> and Queen Camilla<\/a> to the White House earlier in the day, Trump noted that his parents had been married for 63 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThat\u2019s a record we won\u2019t be able to match, darling,\u201d Trump, who turns 80 in June, said to first lady Melania Trump<\/a>, 56, who was sitting just behind him. \u201cI\u2019m sorry. Just not gonna work out that way.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWait a minute!\u201d Kimmel said after playing the clip. \u201cDid he just make a joke about his death? My God! He should be fired for that.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The president and the first lady said Kimmel should lose his job over a joke he made last week that was not too dissimilar. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Days ahead of the White House Correspondents\u2019 Association Dinner, Kimmel held his own version of the event on his show and did roast-style jokes<\/a>, including one in which he said the first lady was glowing \u201clike an expectant widow.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After a gunman rushed past security and shots were fired in the hotel where the actual event took place, the first lady accused Kimmel of \u201chateful and violent rhetoric.\u201d Both she and her husband demanded that ABC fire the late-night host<\/a> over the joke. The FCC also ordered a review<\/a> of ABC\u2019s broadcasting license.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But on Monday night, Kimmel said his joke was nothing of the sort. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIt was a very light roast joke about the fact that he\u2019s almost 80 and she\u2019s younger than I am,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was not, by any stretch of the definition, a call to assassination. And they know that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Tuesday, Kimmel was stunned by the president\u2019s own joke on the topic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOnly Donald Trump would demand I be fired for making a joke about his old age and then a day later go out and make a joke about his own old age,\u201d he pointed out. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n See more in his Tuesday night monologue:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
