The pop icon shut down the rumors by saying Antanoff was one of her \u201cbest friends.\u201d The rumors emerged after Antonoff was not involved in Swift\u2019s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.<\/p>\n Taylor Swift recently put the rumors of her \u201cfeud\u201d with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff<\/a> to bed. The speculations began following Antonoff\u2019s absence from Swift\u2019s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. However, Swift insists that there is nothing off between the veteran music producer and her.<\/p>\n \u201cJack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends,\u201d Swift said of Antonoff to The New York Times in an interview<\/a> released on April 28, 2026. She went on to comment on their working relationship. \u201cWe established this thing that we love to do, and we call it the rant bridge,\u201d Swift said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s basically like stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting,\u201d she explained about the process. \u201cYou want this rant bridge to feel the most intense of what that feeling is that you\u2019re trying to establish over the course of the song, and you want it to be kind of a crescendo.\u201d Swift further added that some of her hit songs, like \u201cOut of the Woods\u201d and \u201cCruel Summer\u201d were examples of rant bridges.<\/p>\n Swift and Antonoff have been collaborating since the 2013 track \u201cSweeter than Fiction\u201d. Over their long working relationship, the duo co-produced and wrote Swift\u2019s Grammy-winning album, 1989. Antonoff also joined Swift onstage as a surprise guest for her Eras Tour stop in New Jersey.<\/p>\n However, Swift wanted her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, to sound different. To achieve this, Swift collaborated with Max Martin and Shellback.
