Schick and Jonas have since confirmed the posts were a ploy to blur the lines between celebrity beauty launches and mass grooming as part of its wider brand messaging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn an official statement, Vildan Oenpeker \u2014 senior vice president and general manager of U.S. hair removal at Schick\u2019s parent company, Edgewell Personal Care \u2014 said: \u201cWe\u2019re proud to unveil our refreshed brand narrative \u2014 building on our heritage and expertise in hair removal while redefining the category through a skin-first perspective. For too long, shaving has focused just on the process of removing hair, and not enough on the impact it has on your skin. Packed with aloe, hydrating gel pools, pro-vitamin B5 and chamomile, the former Disney star said Schick razors keep his skin \u201csmooth and hydrated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t \u201cI partnered with Schick because their razors help me look and feel my best,\u201d he continued in an official statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhile the news may not have been what fans originally assumed, Jonas returned to his Instagram on Wednesday morning to divulge his \u201cskin care secret\u201d alongside the moody campaign video. His caption read: \u201cMy skincare secret? It all starts with\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/schick\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">@schick<\/a>. Because your razor shouldn\u2019t just remove hair, it should do right by your skin.
