May 24th, DMLab Festival brings together d\/Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent and non-disabled artists, alongside instrument makers and creative technologists. The programme is split into three parts: a morning workshop where attendees can build touch-based instruments, an afternoon of presentations and demos from DMLab contributors including Steph Masucci, Cheryl Hui and Gawain Hewitt, and an evening performance schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The lineup features a headline live set from Stockholm-based producer Tim Palm, alongside performances from Liza Bec, The Clarion Trio and Deaf Rave’s DJ Jeffo. Audience members will also be able to wear haptic feedback vests during DJ sets.<\/p>\n<p>The event showcases work from Drake Music’s long-running DMLab programme, which focuses on designing accessible instruments tailored to individual needs. Many of these will form part of the organisation\u2019s upcoming Accessible Musical Instrument Collection. Access provisions for the festival include BSL interpretation, live captioning, relaxed performances and step-free facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Drake Music is a UK-based organisation working in music, disability and technology.
