\u201cDaily Show\u201d correspondent Josh Johnson<\/a> gave his take on the relentless calls from Republicans to build President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s $400 million White House ballroom following Saturday\u2019s shooting at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Many GOP figures are using the shooting to push for the ballroom, suggesting it means the president will never have to leave home. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe ballroom itself will avoid the dilemma of having to leave the White House grounds,\u201d Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday while announcing he\u2019d introduce legislation to fund the ballroom with taxpayer dollars.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe president should not have to leave the White House to go to the Kennedy Center, to go to the Hilton and venture out. People should come to him,\u201d former Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Katie Zacharia said on Fox News. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Johnson was quick to suggest a theory as to why the president might be wary of stepping outside the White House. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWait, the president shouldn\u2019t have to leave his house?\u201d Johnson asked. \u201cYou don\u2019t want the leader of the free world to visit anything? Hold on, is the president depressed? I know people keep trying to shoot him, but still.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Johnson then harked back to Trump\u2019s recent publicity stunt, something many people have done when they may be down in the dumps: have food delivered. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cCome to think of it, didn\u2019t he just get McDonald\u2019s DoorDashed to the house?\u201d Johnson said. \u201cThat sounded like a man who has given up on life.
