Lady Gaga will be making an appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n While promoting the new movie, Meryl Streep revealed she personally asked the singer to be in the film<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n In the movie, Gaga plays a pop star who gives a performance in Milan<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Meryl Streep<\/a> and The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em><\/a> director David Frankel recalled how they got Lady Gaga<\/a> to appear in the film.<\/p>\n During an appearance on Heart Breakfast<\/em><\/a> shared to Instagram by the U.K. morning show on Wednesday, April 29, Streep, 76, said she personally called the singer, 40, to ask her to be in the film. “That was me. Thank you. You’re welcome,” she told Emily Blunt<\/a>, who was shocked to hear how it happened. “I called her from Islington because I was out to dinner with Tracy. And I thought, I might as well try her.”<\/p>\n “I just said, ‘Would you do this? Because it’s going to be really good. And she said, ‘Yeah!’ ” Streep said while snapping her fingers. “Just like that. She’s on her world tour, which lasted a year, playing to 75,000 people in a stadium and just flew off and did us.”<\/p>\n
