King Charles III and Queen Camilla will spend most of the final day of their four-day state visit to the U.S. in the state of Virginia.<\/p>\n

After a farewell meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump on Thursday morning, Charles and Camilla will travel to Arlington National Cemetery, where they will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.<\/p>\n

Charles and Camilla will then make the short trip to Virginia, where they will attend a block party for America’s 250th birthday celebration and visit both a national park and a horse-racing farm.<\/p>\n

From there, the royals will board a flight, wrapping up a very busy four days.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Charles and Camilla laid flowers at the National 9\/11 Memorial<\/a> and the royal couple spoke with victims’ relatives, first responders and local dignitaries in New York City.<\/p>\n

The royal couple capped their whirlwind day in the city with an appearance at an early evening reception for one of the king’s charities, the King’s Trust, where Charles spoke of the enduring cultural bond between the people of the U.K. and U.S. as one “rooted in shared creativity, enterprise, and values.<\/p>\n

“Reminding us that we are truly greater together, that’s the point,” he said.<\/p>\n

The four-day trip is Charles’ first state visit to the U.S. since he became king. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, made four state visits to the U.S. Her last visit to New York was in 2010.<\/p>\n
