Bebe Rexha<\/a> <\/b>is an unapologetic, confident queen \u2014 and she wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>My confidence comes from being tired of asking for permission and not giving a f***,\u201d Rexha, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at Billboard Women in Music on Wednesday, April 29. \u201c<\/span>I used to be so nervous doing red carpets and being like, \u2018Oh, my gosh, those girls look so skinny, they look so good, they have their stuff together,\u2019 that I [would] have so much anxiety. And then, now I come and I\u2019m just like, \u2018I actually belong here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Rexha rose to fame in 2015 with the release of her debut EP, I Don\u2019t Wanna Grow Up<\/i>, soon finding inspiration from other pop stars.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I am inspired by] Sabrina [Carpenter], Zara [Larsson], Charli [XCX]<\/b>, <\/b>all the girls who have been slaying for such a long time, but now they f***ing made their mark,\u201d she told Us. <\/i>\u201cThey have their thing, and it\u2019s like, it\u2019s f***ing inspiring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBebe Rexha\u2019s personal life has made just as many headlines as her three-time Grammy-nominated music career. June and July 2023 were two particularly rough months for the singer, who was not only pelted in the face by a phone \u2014 thrown on stage by a concertgoer at her New York City show \u2014 but she [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this year, Rexha recently dropped the singles \u201cHysteria\u201d and \u201cNew Religion\u201d from her upcoming album, Dirty Blonde.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018New Religion\u2019 I did with Faithless, which samples Insomnia<\/i>, which was a massive record in the \u201890s. It\u2019s just about finding, you know, salvation on the dance floor,\u201d she said on Wednesday. \u201cI say, \u2018I found my purpose in the churches filled with neon lights,\u2019 because the club is my church.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faithless<\/b>, an English girl band formed in 1995, marks just one of Rexha\u2019s many collaborations. The Grammy nominee has also worked with G-Eazy, Doja Cat, David Guetta<\/b> and Dolly Parton<\/b> through the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know who my next collaboration is going to be,\u201d she teased to Us. <\/i>\u201cI end up in the most random studios, and I just go with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rexha has also admittedly come a long way in her journey to feeling confident.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBebe Rexha revealed she suffered a pregnancy loss while addressing negative negative comments about her weight following her first Met Gala appearance. \u201cI\u2019m so tired of people commenting on my weight,\u201d Rexha, 35, wrote in a since-deleted tweet on Tuesday, May 6, via E! News. The Grammy nominee explained, \u201cI have PCOS and struggle with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI know we\u2019re all supposed to be merry and, like, \u2018Yay, it\u2019s the holidays!\u2019 \u2014 which I am, ish,\u201d she previously revealed in a December 2021 video<\/span><\/a> shared via TikTok. \u201cI think I am the heaviest I\u2019ve ever been. I weighed myself just now, and I don\u2019t feel comfortable sharing the weight because I feel embarrassed.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Rexha cut back on sharing social media posts over her insecurities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t feel good in my skin, and when I don\u2019t feel good, I don\u2019t want to post,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd that\u2019s really, honestly, the reason why I haven\u2019t been posting in the last year or so, as much as I used to. I don\u2019t know how to help myself anymore or how to love myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
